We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our aerospace manufacturing team to work with a major aerospace OEM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing CMM programs to inspect complex aerospace components, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards and customer specifications. This role is critical in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be responsible for carrying out the majority of CMM programming, verification, and Gauge R&R studies on-site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and updating programs
- Conducting on-site verification using the client's CMM equipment
- Performing Gauge R&R studies
- Supporting the modernization of legacy routines
- Assisting in training, documentation, and knowledge transfer as required
Qualifications
- Degree level or apprenticeship in Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in CMM programming and inspection in aerospace or precision manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in CMM software (CAMIO & MODUS)
- Reverse engineering
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, and EASA / CAA regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Additional Information
- Experience with multi-axis CMM systems and probing technologies
- Knowledge of other inspection tools (e.g., laser scanners, optical comparators, micrometers, etc.)
- Formal qualifications in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
