Project Controller

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) ensuring logical linking of activities, events, and milestones, fully resourced, cost‑loaded, and aligned to fiscal calendar.
• Lead and support schedule development throughout the programme.
• Provide trend analysis and programme metrics to support Programme Manager and Control Account Managers; present at metrics review boards and customer meetings.
• Ensure baseline control management is adopted and baseline change control has an auditable trail.
• Generate and analyse Earned Value Management (EVM) data; conduct root‑cause analysis of earned‑value variance.
• Perform critical‑path, schedule risk analysis, and BEI analysis as required.
• Collate and analyse finance data such as schedule‑derived estimates to complete (ETCs) monthly.
• Support development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS).
• Assist Bid and Proposal activities through development of schedule scenarios for impact analysis.
• Support Risk & Opportunity Management Process and internal Risk Review Board with risk identification, documentation, and risk analysis for schedule and cost impacts.
• Maintain balance between standard tools and customised reporting, including Power BI.

Qualifications

• Experience operating in joint or matrixed teams.
• Ability to communicate across military and industry partners.
• Focus on outcomes, delivery, and operational excellence.
• Seasoned professional in a Project / Programme Controls environment.
• Ability to provide clarity, insight, and solutions to complex issues.
• Coaching ability for lower‑tier professionals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project EPM 2010/13/16 and other Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Power BI).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business.
• Ability to work with diverse project teams and stakeholders to achieve programme delivery outcomes.
• Ability to support, guide and influence project teams to ensure programmes follow Raytheon standard practices and processes.
• Ability to lead supplier and partner schedule integration work.
• Commercial and business awareness in a complex projects environment.
• Experience with multi‑disciplined teams over geographically dispersed sites.
• Current holder of, or eligibility to obtain, SC Mo D security clearance.
• Practical or theoretical knowledge of IMS and EVM integration.
• Practical experience with Power BI, including evaluating reports, troubleshooting queries, and understanding user requirements.
• Experience working within the Defence Industry.
• Working knowledge of training transformation programmes.
