Job Summary

This role plays a vital role in ensuring Pay Pal UK Limited (PPUK) meets its regulatory and governance obligations through effective data management and reporting.

You will be involved in managing data requests, regulatory reporting, and reporting for governance processes.

A key aspect of the position is assessing new and existing regulatory reporting requirements, working with cross‑functional teams to confirm data availability and accuracy.

This requires strong data manipulation and organisational skills.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify issues and recommend best practices for the administration of legal entities and subsidiaries.
  • Lead functional projects and programs that contribute to business or process improvements.
  • Analyze business trends to inform decision‑making and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate corporate records and documentation.
  • Use advanced data manipulation tools (e. g., Excel, SQL, Python) to analyse and prepare datasets for compliance‑related tasks.
  • Aggregate data from various sources to construct streamlined data pipelines and integrate data from multiple Pay Pal systems.
  • Identify key metrics and build leadership‑facing dashboards to track progress of the business and its highest priority initiatives.
  • Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Lead and participate in special projects/initiatives: innovate and implement large‑scale quality improvements to processes and/or systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and refine processes around customer support.
  • Act as a liaison between the UK COO team, Compliance function and other business units to address regulatory reporting needs and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Generate compliance reports to support governance processes, including management information for senior leadership and Board‑level committees.
  • Respond to internal and external data requests, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of information.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of data submissions and compliance reporting for audit and oversight purposes.
  • Design and implement improved workflows and tools to streamline compliance reporting processes.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies or gaps in current data management practices and propose actionable solutions.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks, Teradata, Hadoop/Hive, Oracle.
  • Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Demonstrated experience handling large data sets and crunching numbers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex problems into simpler terms and effectively influence peers and senior leadership.
  • Exceptional organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage data and reporting workflows.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for financial institutions or regulated entities.
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working within a compliance or data‑focused role in a regulated environment.
