Responsibilities
- Develop innovative solutions for new products or processes, contributing to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity and investments through infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and planning the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment that create a competitive advantage.
- Support the development of new projects, technologies or business opportunities.
- Analyse manufacturing system performance to evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement through Industrial Engineering tools, techniques and methods.
- Analyse and determine equipment, facilities and support requirements for new products, equipment or processes.
- Provide detailed factory and line layouts using Auto CAD and support the planning, costing and implementation of new or changed areas.
- Optimise assembly lines using workflow analysis, time and motion study, ergonomics and human factors analysis.
- Provide detailed technical reports, presentations and information to support projects.
- Provide analysis of current or future requirements using simulation tools, value stream mapping, data analysis, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Collaborate with engineering and design groups to ensure producibility of product and effective transition to manufacture.
- Labour estimating for electronic, cable or mechanical assemblies.
- Contribute to factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
Qualifications
- Degree in an engineering science such as Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- PC literate, mainly Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Project.
- Proficient in the use of Auto CAD and/or simulation modelling tools.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and statistical analysis, SPC, modelling, queuing theory, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
- Ability to represent Raytheon at all levels for internal and external customers.
- Strong understanding of the key cost drivers in the set‑up, development or support of projects, products and the manufacturing process.

- Significant Industrial Engineering experience and extensive knowledge of Industrial Engineering tools, techniques and methods.
- Experience of developing new process, areas or expansion including planning, costing and implementation.
- Ability to create detailed information quickly and present effectively at customer or various management levels.
- Knowledge of SMT, units and box build plus site facilitation, supply chain requirements and material handling.
- Ability to mentor or lead other engineers or projects with extensive Industrial Engineering knowledge.
- Knowledge of simulation tools such as Witness or similar.
