What You Will Do

  • Develop and deliver technical documentation and training materials while establishing working relationships with a wide range of customers.
  • Assist in the preparation of Technical Manuals to various formats, such as AESP or US Government Technical Manual.
  • Actively collaborate with programme management, engineering, and other development areas.
  • Conduct customer training using various media such as MS Power Point and carry out on‑job training.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Integrated Support Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of IPS/Supportability documentation, commensurate with internal on‑the‑job training.

Location: Malvern, Worcestershire. The role will primarily be based in Malvern, with some travel within the UK and overseas travel required.

What You Will Learn

You will receive extensive training on the SCi‑Toolset and the hardware infrastructure that supports it, learn how complex, secure, multi‑server systems are built, tested, deployed, and sustained throughout their lifecycle, gain exposure to UK and international customer environments, and strengthen your communication and stakeholder management skills through regular engagement with internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of key areas related to technical documentation and training material production.
  • Background in ISR exploitation systems is desirable.
  • Experience developing, implementing and controlling training plans with conflicting requirements, ensuring activities are successfully progressed and delivered in line with defined targets and constraints.
  • Ability to conduct Maintenance Task Analysis on ISR exploitation systems.
  • Experience with MS Office products for production, control and amendment of supportability documentation and technical manuals.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the relevant UK security clearance required for the role (SC at a minimum).
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a technical author.
  • Formal training qualification in technical writing.
  • Engineering experience.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience working in defense, aerospace or another regulated, mission‑critical environment.
  • Experience supporting customer‑facing systems and providing remote technical support.
  • A full UK driving licence.
