About the Role

The Engineering Operations Analyst supports the efficient execution of Engineering activities by managing data, processes, tools and performance metrics.

The role bridges engineering, test and operational teams to ensure systems, workflows and outputs meet quality, compliance and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide finance and metric analysis support to the Engineering Director by analysing engineering and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for engineering performance and program status.
  • Create weekly budget and utilisation analysis reports and monthly briefing packs for senior leaders.
  • Maintain the asset register for all capital equipment while collaborating across sites.
  • Build strong relationships with other functions, particularly finance and the CTO team, to obtain and provide regular reports and develop improved reporting mechanisms for integration of applications.
  • Effectively communicate, orally and in writing, across functions and at all levels of the organisation, articulating complex financial information to non‑financial staff.
  • Maintain configuration control, documentation and data integrity across engineering systems.
  • Support verification and validation activities by organising test data, results and traceability records.
  • Assist in resource planning, capacity analysis and workload forecasting.
  • Lead and facilitate cross‑functional initiatives for improvement identified by yourself and others.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • A‑Level qualified in Maths, Business or Finance.
  • Experience with reporting and dashboard tools (Power BI).
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced and varied environment.
  • Knowledge and application of Project Management principles.
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word and Power Point.
  • Well organised with the ability to multi‑task and manage input from multiple sources.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high‑quality work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical thinker.
  • Good problem‑solving skills.
  • Current holder of, or eligibility to obtain, SC clearance.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and verification processes.
