We are Sports Interactive. The studio behind Football Manager. Founded in 1994, Sports Interactive became a wholly owned subsidiary of SEGA Europe in 2006. Based at the Here East technology hub in Stratford, East London, the SI team continues to expand as we bring our titles to an ever-growing audience across an increasing variety of platforms. Position Overview

Sports Interactive are seeking a Copywriter to sit within our Marketing & Communications department. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Brand, Content and Community teams to craft engaging copy for both the Football Manager brand and wider studio across all facets of marketing and comms. You will support the delivery of clear, engaging copy across a wide range of marketing and communications activity, contributing to campaigns and content by writing effective copy for a variety of channels, from advertising and CRM to product messaging and promotional materials. The role suits a creative and adaptable writer who enjoys producing high-quality copy, collaborating with others, and helping bring campaigns and communications to life for both new and existing audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing clear, compelling and creative copy for a range of marketing needs across brand and content initiatives through social, web, CRM, packaging, digital store pages, and other promotional materials.
  • Collaborating with design, marketing and business development teams to ensure copy is aligned with content and brand strategies and meets legal and licensing requirements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a consistent brand tone of voice across platforms and touchpoints.
  • Reviewing, editing and iterating copy based on feedback from stakeholders.
  • Working closely with Community leads to provide clarity and guidance for any copy required for language localisation or translation.
  • Managing assigned copy projects effectively, balancing multiple priorities, and delivering high‑quality work to agreed deadlines.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for creative campaigns and new initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a copywriting (or relevant role).
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with a flair for storytelling.
  • Familiarity with the major social media platforms and writing for digital-first audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and take on constructive feedback.
  • A passion for football is beneficial, with a good understanding of the discourse that surrounds the game and what topics/trends resonate most with fans.
