About Two Point:
Two Point Studios sizzled into existence in the summer heat of 2016 with a goal to create amazing, deep simulation games that not only remain accessible to everyone, but also don’t take themselves too seriously - we call them our little people games! In 2018, our hard work came to fruition and Two Point Hospital was born into the world to much acclaim. After Hospital we had a dream of creating an entire world of these little people games within the place we call “Two Point County”. In 2022 Two Point Campus was released and our most recent game, Two Point Museum, was released in 2025. With us being a part of the Sega family, and with the success of Two Point Hospital, Two Point Campus, and Two Point Museum we’re now pushing forward with our next games to continue to make our “Two Point County” dream a reality!
Life at Two Point Studios is exactly as we believe it should be: fun, flexible and super creative! Everyone in our lovely team gets stuck in. You’ve got some awesome ideas? You can bet we want to hear them! We’re a second family here, we all look out for each other, and we love what we do, but we understand that your real family needs you too, so we aim to strike the perfect work life balance enabling you to have fun at the office and get home to your loved ones with time to spare.
About the Principle UI Programmer role:
We are looking for an experienced, competent programmer to join the team, to take ownership of UI architecture and technical implementation on our upcoming sim management games. The role will involve system architecture, implementing new UI components, creating best practices for UI assets and prefab layout, and being responsible overall for UI robustness and optimisation. You’ll need to work closely with the 2D art team, and design team - but on a small team like ours, there’s plenty of room to be creative yourself! We’re thinking at least 5 years’ professional experience, but this is flexible depending on talent. You do need enough knowledge to be quite self-sufficient to begin with.
Currently our UI tech is Unity UI, but moving to other systems in future is feasible. You’ll be responsible for:
- Architecture
- Develop Best practices
- Oversee implementation
- Communicate with art, design and code
- Driving quality and fidelity
- Optimisation
- Championing dual joypad/mouse+keyboard UI controls
- Planning your own work as part of an agile team
The ideal candidate would have:
- 5 years’ game industry experience (or less if you’re amazing!)
- Strong working knowledge of Unity and C#
- Experience with Unity UI systems
- All the typical programming skills: source control, code architecture, debugging, testing, optimisation
- All the typical soft skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication, organisation, time management, self-motivation, desire to learn
- Of course, a love for games!
Not essential, but it helps if you have:
- History of shipped high quality games
- Experience with console development
- Experience with UI animation and VFX
- Deep experience with CPU/GPU/memory optimisation
- An interest in UI/UX design
Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging:
We want people of all backgrounds to see themselves represented and included in our work, so we actively seek to diversify our team and bring more voices to the table. All applicants are welcome!
