An opportunity has arisen to join the enthusiastic and dedicated team at Birkdale Primary School. The Governors and Headteacher warmly welcome applications to join our friendly, happy and thriving school. Initially, the post is until 31.8.26 with the opportunity for this to be extended.
We are seeking to appoint an energetic, skilled and caring SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2). The prime role will be to support a pupil in nursery who is on the Autism Pathway.

- Has excellent communication skills at all levels, is a team player and has a desire to raise standards.

The hours are 9am to 12 noon each day, totalling 15 hours per week. The post will begin as soon as possible following the appointment of a successful candidate after interviews. Closing date for applications is at noon on Monday 23rd February 2026. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 3rd March 2026.
Due to the nature of work, the post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation, and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
