To commence as soon as possible. The Governors of St Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint an Attendance Officer to work alongside our Pastoral Manager and Sefton School Attendance Officers. The role will be for 35 hours per week (7 working hours per day) from Monday to Friday. Despite recent improvements in attendance due to the tireless work of our pastoral team, we are looking for someone to assist us in further increasing attendance across the school.
The role will involve working with both children and parents/carers directly and also connecting them to any external support that is available. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a sound knowledge of basic computer software packages such as Word and Excel. Experience of using SIMS would be beneficial although training will be given if required.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong team of teachers and support staff who work tirelessly to provide the very best education for the children of St Elizabeth’s.
Shortlisted applicants will receive notification by email and telephone in the week commencing 28th September to invite them to interview. Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
