The Headteacher and Governing Body of St.Gregory’s Catholic Primary School, Sandy Lane, Lydiate, wish to appoint TWO experienced, highly skilled and motivated 1:1 Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support two children in Early Years and KS1. The post is fixed term on an annual basis, as it is subject to SEN funding, or for as long as the child is at St.Gregory’s Primary School.

We are looking to appoint two Level 2 Teaching Assistants with SEND support who are excited about supporting our school mission and further growing within the values.
The ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience of providing support for children in their learning, including providing additional support through one to one and small group sessions.
The successful candidates will work closely with the class teachers and provide support delivering the curriculum, whilst providing excellent care and guidance, promoting inclusion within the school setting.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a recognised Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification – certificate required
- Understand and have experience of Safeguarding practices within a school setting
- Excellent skills and experience in supporting children with Special Educational needs to enable them to access the full curriculum
- Have excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate patience, understanding and professionalism
- Experience of supporting Early Years / Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Be passionate, hardworking and enthusiastic in supporting children’s learning
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and also on their own initiative when required.
- Have high expectations for both themselves and for the children.
- Be able to respect and uphold the school’s catholic ethos, aims and values
