Work Placement Coordinator/Assessor Childcare. Healthcare Campus, Liverpool. Part‑Time, Permanent (14 hours per week). Salary £12,000 based on a Full Time Equivalent Salary of £30,000. 40 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata for part‑time hours). Local Government Pension Scheme. Role

Are you passionate about supporting learners in real‑world environments and helping them thrive in the childcare sector? We’re looking for a Work Placement Coordinator/Assessor to join our Childcare team and lead the coordination and assessment of student placements across Level 2, Level 3, and T Level Early Years Educator programmes.

Help shape the next generation of early years professionals through hands‑on teaching, mentoring and placement coordination. Our programmes include Level 1–3 qualifications and T‑levels in Education and Childcare, blending classroom learning with real‑world nursery placements.

With a brand‑new nursery on campus and a curriculum enriched by creative learning experiences such as forest school visits and yoga linked to literacy, our Childcare department offers staff a unique opportunity to deliver and observe high‑quality early years education in a dynamic and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Organise, assess and monitor student placements across multiple programmes.
  • Identify and develop high‑quality placement opportunities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Engage with students to align placement goals with curriculum outcomes.
  • Assess learners in line with awarding body criteria and complete timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams and employers to maintain quality standards.

Criteria

  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational area.
  • Assessor qualifications (A1/V1) or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in assessing competence‑based training.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrable experience in assessing childcare qualifications in the workplace.
