Sefton Adult Social Care are always looking for qualified and experienced Social Workers, therefore this is a permanent advert for Social Work vacancies that exist across Sefton Adult Social Care. We have a wide range of teams across Adult Social Care in Sefton, all working together to support people to live as independently as possible. This advert covers opportunities across a number of these teams.

Sefton Adult Social Care always have a range of exciting opportunities for experienced Social Workers (by experienced we mean at least a couple of years’ experience) within our various locality based and speciality teams. These roles may be a mix of permanent and fixed term. We are proud to have secured a “Good” with CQC so there has never been a better time to join Adult Social Care Sefton, as we strive to deliver outstanding and provide excellent services for those in our Borough.

As an experienced Social Worker, you will play a key role in shaping how we deliver services, working closely with health colleagues to develop integrated, person-centred approaches. We will endeavour to offer you the role in a team where you feel you can make the greatest impact or offer an opportunity in a team where you feel you may want to build your skills or seek a new challenge. You will have the autonomy to make impactful decisions and the support to grow the service creatively and effectively.

What does the role look like day to day? Within Sefton Adult Social Care, we have created several different teams to meet the needs of the individuals we support, including a learning disability team, a team that supports those dealing with substance use issues and a team that supports those transitioning from children’s services. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated team members with a passion to make a real impact on the lives of those in the Sefton borough.

What we are looking for:

  • A Social Worker Degree or equivalent qualification
  • At least two years of experience as a qualified Social Worker
  • Registration with Social Work England (or equivalent health body)
  • Strong working knowledge of the Care Act and related legislation
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive practice
  • Excellent partnership working skills with health and community stakeholders
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development
  • Commitment to a person centred, value driven strengths based good practice
