The Property and Strategic Asset Management Team have a vacancy for a Senior Surveyor. The successful candidate should be self‑motivated and have good interpersonal and communication skills. They will join a small but busy team of Surveyors and will be responsible for a varied and diverse workload.

As well as assisting the Team Leader in managing two Estate Surveyors and a Property Management Support Assistant, this role will assist in the administration, control and monitoring of the Council’s property portfolio which consists of over 2,000 assets for the provision of a proactive, commercially orientated and cost‑effective estate management service to the Council. This will include valuations, acquisitions and disposals and lease management issues, with the aim of maximising the best and most efficient use of Council owned assets.

The applicant will need to be a qualified Member of the RICS, professional, IT literate and capable of working independently. Being a Registered Valuer would also be advantageous. The Council operates an agile working policy and although the office base is in Bootle, the successful candidate will have a degree of flexibility as to their work environment.
