Sefton Council are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead and manage the successful delivery of a flagship construction scheme at the heart of a major regeneration programme. This is a contract for a minimum of 2 years. This is a rare opportunity to shape a once in a generation project, that will boost local communities, attract new investment and create a new landmark within Sefton’s built environment.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in delivering this complex, high-value, transformational development for the borough of Sefton. The postholder will have direct responsibility for project planning, consultant and contractor management, governance, stakeholder engagement, health & safety compliance, and budget performance. You will co-ordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive innovative solutions that support sustainable growth and long-term community benefit. The role therefore requires a high degree of autonomy and leadership in managing people, financial resources, and risk.
Strong public sector experience is essential, alongside deep technical knowledge of construction standards, CDM regulations, and the full capital delivery lifecycle.
