You will work as part of a team to undertake a range of grounds and public realm maintenance and development work such as sweeping, emptying litter bins, strimming and grass cutting in all weather conditions. Uniform including PPE is provided.
You must be physically capable of undertaking the full range of duties as required by the post. You should also have excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
The key responsibilities include:
- To support the Burials and Cremations Team with routine maintenance activities as per the job description.
- Working with members of the public, community/user groups, beneficiaries and other stakeholders providing a defined standard of maintenance.
- To act as an ambassador for the Burials and Cremations Service and Sefton Council.
The closing date for this vacancy is Friday 17th July 2026 (or earlier in the event of high volume of applications being received). Provisional interview dates are Friday 24th July 2026.
