We are looking to recruit Mobile General Catering Assistants to work in school kitchens in the Southport, Formby and Bootle areas.
Salary: Grade B SCP-2 Hourly Rate = £13.0054
Introducing Ourselves: Sefton Catering Service provides high quality catering to schools throughout Sefton. We are committed to making sure our school lunches are tasty and nutritious, as we believe that school food is closely linked to pupil behaviour and educational attainment.
Job Requirements: The successful applicants will be part of the Sefton Catering team at one of our sites. Mobile General Assistants have a base and will be expected to work in and around the borough when required. The successful applicants will undertake with supervision the preparation, simple cooking, and service of food. You will be required to attend a half day course to achieve a level 2 award in food safety (this course is being undertaken online at present). This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference to the children who use our service.
Due to the nature of the work, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful candidate must be able to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure (via the Disclosure & Barring Service DBS) in order to be appointed to the post.
