Sefton’s Adult Social Care Commissioning & Transformation Team have an exciting opportunity available for two Commissioning Officer posts. You will support the Strategic Commissioning Managers on a range of strategic priorities across commissioning, with a current focus on:

  • Home Care & Reablement
  • Community-Based Services, including Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector and Day Opportunities

The posts will work within the ASC Commissioning and Transformation Team. You will need an excellent understanding of commissioning, a well-developed commissioning skill set and experience in delivering commissioning outcomes to a range of vulnerable people or groups within Adult Social Care. You will support the commissioning function to ensure that a strategic approach is taken, in line with Council priorities and with local and national policy objectives.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting Strategic Commissioning Managers on strategic priorities across commissioning, with a focus on Home Care & Reablement and Community-Based Services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Excellent understanding of commissioning;
  • Well-developed commissioning skill set;
  • Experience delivering commissioning outcomes for vulnerable groups within Adult Social Care;
  • Ability to support a strategic approach aligned with Council priorities and policy objectives.
