Sefton Council are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead on our flagship regeneration construction scheme which sits at the heart of Sefton's wider regeneration programme.

A Landmark Regeneration for Southport: Sefton Council is delivering one of the Northwest's most exciting coastal regeneration projects: the new Marine Lake Events Centre (MLEC). This transformative £70m+ development will create a world-class, year-round destination on Southport's iconic waterfront. It will feature a state-of-the-art conference and events centre, a new theatre, water and light show, and a range of food and beverage outlets, breathing new life into the town's tourism economy by attracting over 500,000 visitors a year injecting £19m into the local economy and creating hundreds of jobs.

Legends Global, the world's leading venue management company, has been selected as the Council's partner to operate the venue when complete. This is a rare opportunity to lead and shape a legacy project that will define Southport's future for generations to come.

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Project Manager to be the driving force behind the delivery of the MLEC. You will be working with an experienced internal and external team to deliver the project from its current pre-construction phase with Vinci construction UK Ltd through to successful commissioning and handover. As the lead project manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of this multi-million pound project, ensuring it is executed safely, sustainably and to the highest quality standards.

We're looking for a dynamic professional with a strong track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, co-ordinating contractors and consultants and managing stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing the programme, budget, risk and compliance, all whilst championing design excellence and best-practice construction.

Sefton is a great place to live, work, visit and invest. Coupled with the salary we also offer a range of excellent terms and conditions relating to holidays, sick pay, agile and flexible working, and Local Government pension scheme benefits. There are also a wide range of other benefits on offer in support of health and wellbeing.

We provide many different services and offer a wide range of opportunities to job applicants from all backgrounds, ages, skills, and interests. We aim to have a diverse workforce that understands and represents the communities they serve.
