Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a fixed term Data Analyst for two years to join its central Business Intelligence & Performance Team, supporting data analysis and reporting for the Adult Social Care service.
Technical experience and practical ability to analyse and report data using MS Excel, T-SQL, and Microsoft Power BI are pre‑requisite essentials. Importantly, we are looking for someone with prior experience of local government and data analysis that includes Adult Social Care.
You will be required to:
- Analyse data from the Council’s Adult Social Care case management system, LiquidLogic (System C Software) and other data sources.
- Assist with statutory government returns.
- Produce monthly performance reports.
- Respond to ad‑hoc requests for data.
Experience of using the LiquidLogic and/or ContrOCC systems is highly desirable. You will also need to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with others in the Council’s Adult Social Care service area to help drive data analysis and performance management.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics and enjoys problem solving. A degree or equivalent in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
