A growing local logistics company based in Crosby is looking for a Customer Service Manager to join their expanding team. Davies Express Ltd, a rapidly growing Liverpool based logistics and same day delivery provider, supports businesses across the North West and throughout the UK. The company specialises in same day courier, next day delivery and freight solutions, helping businesses move goods quickly and reliably when timing matters most.

As the company continues to expand, they are now looking for an organised, proactive and solutions focused Customer Service Manager to help ensure operations run smoothly while delivering exceptional customer service. This role sits at the heart of the business, acting as the key link between customers, drivers, operations and the leadership team.

The Role

This is a fast paced position where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will manage customer enquiries, delivery bookings and operational queries while maintaining a high standard of service. You will also play an important role in keeping internal systems organised, resolving delivery issues quickly and helping the business maintain strong relationships with its customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day to day customer enquiries and delivery bookings
  • Communicating with drivers and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries
  • Handling customer queries, updates and issue resolution
  • Preparing quotes and supporting the sales team with customer requests
  • Ensuring proof of deliveries and documentation are accurately recorded
  • Maintaining organised internal systems and job records
  • Overseeing invoicing to clients with the correct booking details and payment terms
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and customer experience
  • Supporting the wider team in a busy logistics environment
