The SOC Manager is responsible for leading the day‑to‑day operations of the Security Operations Centre, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, triage, and escalation of security events. The role drives operational excellence, improves detection capabilities, and acts as the primary escalation point during security incidents.
What Will You Do
- Lead SOC operations, ensuring effective monitoring, alert triage, and incident response
- Manage SOC coverage, service levels, and operational standards
- Oversee incident investigation and ensure timely, accurate escalation
- Act as the primary escalation point during active incidents
- Maintain and improve SOC playbooks, procedures, and knowledge base
- Drive continuous improvement in detection quality, alerting, and monitoring coverage
- Optimise SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and security tooling performance
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
- Track and report SOC performance metrics and trends
- Manage relationships with third‑party SOC or MSSP providers
- Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Lead, coach, and develop SOC analysts
