Overview: This role places you at the heart of our trading business, responsible for shaping and improving critical processes that keep our operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Daily economic P&L revaluation, exposure reporting and full attribution of any daily changes, focusing on complex structures and derivatives.
- Support the preparation of the daily Economic P&L and Financial Exposure Reporting, and analyze changes.
- Conduct ad‑hoc or one‑off portfolio analysis for the Front Office or other Support Functions on the economic and IFRS valuation impact of new commercial transactions or hedging strategies.
- Provide independent challenge and support to commercial functions, ensuring DLC integrity is adhered to.
- Execute monthly IFRS‑compliant revaluations, explain valuation differences, and work closely with book owners to align changes in Exposure and P&L attribution with expectations.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Middle Office or Risk role, dealing with policy, documentation, reporting, controls and systems development.
- Strong understanding of the energy commodity market, with expertise in one or more assets such as LNG, Oil or Metals preferred.
- Experience in commodity valuations across linear and non‑linear products (Vanilla Options, Storage, Transportation), including exposure to the underlying physical products and financial derivatives.
- Excellent Excel skills mandatory; competency in VBA, SQL, Python or another programming language is desired.
