Responsible for supporting the strategic and operational management of all Market Data procurement activities across SEFE. This includes contributing to annual planning, delivering measurable value, ensuring robust contract governance, and maintaining full compliance with internal policies, processes and local regulations. The role requires balancing cost, time and quality considerations to optimise procurement outcomes and effectively support SEFE’s commercial and trading activities.
What You Will Do
- Manage day‑to‑day Market Data procurement activities, working closely with Functional Heads and stakeholders to optimise supplier relationships and commercial agreements.
- Support the development and execution of the Market Data Category Strategy, contributing insights and analysis to drive long‑term value.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement, innovation and cost‑optimisation initiatives across Market Data procurement.
- Ensure procurement activities follow company strategy, governance and policies, managing third‑party spend and reporting performance against KPIs.
- Build strong working relationships across SEFE Group, supporting stakeholders through regular reviews, requirement assessments, risk evaluations and opportunity identification.
- Ensure business users have timely access to required datasets, managing urgent requests and clarifying expectations.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships in collaboration with Corporate Procurement, staying informed on offerings from Platts, Argus, LNRS, Bloomberg, Refinitiv and other key providers.
- Support the full Market Data contract lifecycle, including reviews, renegotiations, renewals and cancellations and governance.
- Work with internal teams to ensure new contracts meet data coverage, usage and compliance requirements.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of Market Data services and ensure appropriate approvals for all new spend.
- Verify invoice accuracy, correct allocation and timely payment in line with contractual terms.
What You Will Bring
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in Market Data Procurement within Tier 1 organisations.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end procurement processes, ideally within the commodities sector.
- Ability to work under pressure with accuracy, independence and a proactive mindset.
- Confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels and contributing to innovation and continuous improvement.
- Hands‑on experience with Market Data tools such as Optimize Spend and SAP, supported by strong analytical and process‑driven thinking.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.
- A results‑focused approach with experience supporting cost optimisation and value delivery.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
