As a Settlement Analyst, you will ensure the timely settlement of a variety of products such as Physical Gas, Power, Metals, Environmental Products, Green Certificate, Derivative and FX trades. Working closely with Front Office, you will support and initiate improvements to the trading systems and workflow processes within Settlements, Finance and across FO.

What Will You Do

  • Liaise with various teams within the organisation from Risk Management, Legal, IT, Finance, Treasury and Credit teams to ensure integrity of data within the trading system for accurate reporting within defined timescales.
  • Support the trading desk in counterparty relationships and in ensuring quality information flows across the business, taking action to resolve any disputes.
  • Produce invoices for the various commodities and products according to the specific contractual terms by generating sales and purchase invoices, including detailed backup.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports and relevant commentary to Management.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with counterparties and other teams within the organisation.

What Will You Bring

  • Experience in settlement/invoicing processes for energy trades and related products (preferred).
  • Worked with trading counterparties and had direct contact with the trading desk.
  • Previous experience working in a matrix environment.
  • A working knowledge of trading systems, preferably ENDURA.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to develop and understand issues.
  • Educated to degree level standard (or equivalent) desirable.
