WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Global Gas Market Analyst, you’ll work directly with traders and key stakeholders, delivering high-impact analysis to support trading decisions. You’ll build supply-demand models, develop trade ideas, and create tools that support both trading and origination activities. This is a unique opportunity to apply advanced quantitative skills in a fast-paced trading environment. You will:
- Build and maintain analytical tools and dashboards (e.g., stack models, web apps).
- Develop and refine fundamental models of gas supply, demand, and flows by region/country.
- Evaluate, build, and validate models and ensure business alignment.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prepare internal reports and market updates.
- Maintain and improve the team’s analytics and IT capabilities.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You will be a highly motivated analyst with strong quantitative skills and a deep understanding of the natural gas market with the ability to solve real world problems across Trading and Origination teams.
- Strong fundamental understanding of the European gas and global LNG markets.
- Proven experience with gas modelling (stack models, bid-offer curves, interconnectors).
- Advanced skills in statistics, data science, and time-series analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R; familiarity with C++, Java, Linux, SQL, Hive, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Excellent Excel (including VBA) and Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
