As an Emerging Markets FX Trader, you will be responsible for shaping and executing EM FX trading strategies for both spot and forward trades. Operating in a fast‑paced environment, you will play a central role in managing risk and generating P&L across key currencies including BRL, CZK, CNH, HUF, MXN, PLN, TRY, and ZAR.
What Will You Do
- Execute and manage our EM FX spots and forwards across key regions, generating consistent trading revenue while maintaining disciplined risk management.
- Monitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, and market‑moving developments impacting EM currencies.
- Identify high‑probability setups and execute trades with strong discipline around entry, exit, and position management.
- Maintain rigorous risk management, including stop‑loss placement, exposure monitoring, and dynamic trade adjustment.
- Collaborate with research, risk management, and technology teams to enhance trading models and improve execution quality.
- Stay current with evolving charting methodologies, technical tools, market microstructure trends, and trading technology.
- Monitor short‑term and medium‑term technical signals to generate actionable trading ideas.
What Will You Bring
- Your previous experience as an EM FX Trader in a bank, hedge fund, or proprietary trading environment is essential for success.
- Strong understanding of macroeconomic drivers, central bank policy, and geopolitical themes in emerging markets.
- Proficiency with trading systems, analytics tools, and Bloomberg/Reuters.
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and ability to synthesise complex market information quickly.
- Solid quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and refine trading strategies.
- Excellent communication skills – able to articulate technical views clearly to internal teams.
