As a
Senior Developer , you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering business-critical applications that support the end-to-end trading lifecycle across SEFE’s trading organisation.
Combining hands‑on technical expertise with technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities, you will help shape the evolution of our trading technology landscape while supporting the development and growth of fellow engineers.
- WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions that support trading, risk, and operational processes across the business.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Architects, QA, Functional Leads, and business stakeholders to ensure delivery priorities are aligned and solutions meet business and technical objectives.
- Provide technical leadership across a portfolio of applications, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, engineering standards, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing technical debt, contributing to technology roadmaps, and promoting consistency across development frameworks, tools, and engineering practices.
Support system integration and cross-platform development activities, working closely with architects and development teams to deliver robust and sustainable technical solutions.
- Coach and mentor junior developers, supporting knowledge sharing, capability development, code quality, and engineering excellence across the team.
- WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions using Microsoft .
NET, C#, Web API, SQL Server, and modern software engineering practices within complex business environments.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, and modern development methodologies including CI/CD and Dev Ops practices.
- Experience working within trading, commodities, financial services, or other highly transactional and data-intensive environments, with an understanding of business-critical systems and delivery expectations.
- Strong technical leadership capabilities with experience conducting code reviews, influencing technical direction, and balancing long-term architectural goals with practical delivery needs.
- Passion for mentoring and developing others, with experience supporting junior developers and fostering collaborative, high-performing engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
