We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our IT team supporting a front‑office derivatives trading desk. In this business‑facing role, you’ll work directly with traders and senior stakeholders—up to C‑suite level—to analyse requirements, shape technical solutions, and support frequent, high‑quality releases. You’ll join a trusted, high‑performing team that delivers change continuously and plays a key role in enabling revenue through robust analytic tooling.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Work with derivatives traders and IT to define requirements, propose solutions, broker decisions, and drive consensus.
- Collaborate with developers to deliver enhancements and support UAT.
- Provide third‑line support to traders and help resolve complex issues.
- Partner closely with front office teams to ensure technology solutions maximise business value and align with trading needs.
- Analyse processes, identify improvements, and recommend solutions to stakeholders.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of Python (or similar languages) and SQL.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets and engage with mathematical models.
- Experience with ETRM systems and knowledge of the trade lifecycle (advantageous).
- Technical business analysis experience within front‑office trading, ideally in commodities such as energy or gas.
- Exposure to derivatives products, especially options (highly regarded).
- Experience working with Agile delivery methods.
