This role is responsible for platform configuration, security and access management, reporting, data governance, and release coordination - working alongside the Salesforce development team to ensure the platform is well-configured, secure, and operationally excellent.

The Salesforce Administrator will work alongside delivery teams to build in-house platform administration capability, take ownership of the Salesforce environment, and ensure it is operationally supportable, well-governed, and maintainable by the team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO
  • OmniStudio Administration
    • Support the configuration and administration of Salesforce OmniStudio components.
    • Manage OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures.
    • Collaborate with development teams on configuration vs. custom development decisions.
  • Platform Configuration
    • Own the configuration and ongoing management of Salesforce platform capabilities to support core business processes.
    • Configure and maintain objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and automation (flows, approval processes).
    • Support key functional areas including sales pipeline, renewals, broker/TPI lifecycle, contract lifecycle, and credit/risk workflows.
    • Ensure scalable, efficient, and maintainable configuration aligned to business needs.
  • Security & Access Management
    • Manage and maintain the Salesforce security model to ensure appropriate and compliant access.
    • Administer role hierarchy, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
    • Provision and manage user access for sales and operational teams.
    • Respond to access requests in line with governance policies.
    • Conduct regular access reviews to ensure security standards are upheld.
  • Data Governance & Quality
    • Ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, and governance across the Salesforce platform.
    • Maintain validation rules and data standards.
    • Monitor and manage duplicate records and data quality issues.
    • Support data loads and integrations.
    • Work with development teams to resolve data-related challenges.
  • Release & Change Coordination
    • Coordinate and support Salesforce releases, ensuring smooth and controlled deployment of changes.
    • Prepare, validate, and deploy configuration changes (including change sets).
    • Coordinate release schedules and support regression testing.
    • Manage sandbox environments for testing and validation.
  • Operational Readiness & Knowledge Transfer
    • Support the transition of solutions into business-as-usual operations.
    • Collaborate with project and delivery teams to understand new configurations.
    • Review and document configuration decisions.
    • Ensure solutions are maintainable and well understood.
    • Contribute to operational readiness assessments.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management
    • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date Salesforce documentation.
    • Produce configuration guides, security documentation, and data dictionaries.
    • Develop runbooks and operational procedures.
    • Ensure documentation is accessible, accurate, and regularly updated.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
  • Strong Salesforce platform expertise covering configuration (objects, fields, automation), security model (roles, profiles, permissions), and data management (validation, data quality, duplicate management, data loading).
  • Experience with Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud and OmniStudio tools (OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures).
  • Proven ability to build reports and dashboards, and manage deployments using change sets, sandbox environments, and metadata processes.
