The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.
You will be responsible to identify, develop and execute trading strategies for SEFE-MT in the European Gas and Power markets to develop fuel spreads, time spreads, locational and directional opportunities via plain vanilla or complex derivatives.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Develop and manage trading ideas/strategies, working with the gas, oil, LNG and emissions traders to develop and execute cross commodity strategies mostly focused on European gas and LNG as well as US natgas where needed.
- Contribute to the fundamental analysis and modelling of the European power and gas market.
- Ability to develop own models and drive and collaborate with analysts.
- Work with the analysts and traders to develop wider market strategies.
- Follow, understand and be able to explain news stories about the Nordic electricity networks, markets, companies and regulations.
- Support and develop the bilateral trading and origination businesses.
- Accurate daily reporting of trades, positions and P&L.
- Management of trading risk; within agreed limits and due regard to market liquidity.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- You will have a proven track record of trading across the European Gas Markets, making appropriate decisions in time critical situations and working in a highly commercial organisation.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, and across the trading team and wider organisation.
- Able to explain a complex technical subject to an audience of differing skills and experience.
- Demonstrable and consistent delivery of revenue.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of gas and LNG fundamental drivers.
- Knowledge of derivatives (options and spread options) is a big plus.
- Strong business and organisational skills.
- IT and programming skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience.
