The Market Data Procurement Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for the strategic and operational management of all Market Data procurement activities across SEFE. This includes annual planning, value delivery, people leadership, contract governance and ensuring compliance with internal policies, processes and local regulations. The role requires balancing costs, time, and quality considerations to optimize procurement outcomes to support SEFE’s commercial and trading activities.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Lead, manage and develop the Market Data Procurement team to deliver operational excellence and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day Market Data activities, collaborate closely with functional heads, key stakeholders, and teams to optimize supplier relationships and commercial agreements, delivering tangible benefits to SEFE Group.
  • Develop and implement a strategic Category Group Plan for Market Data procurement prioritising the formulation and execution of category strategies.
  • Lead and execute projects aimed at continuous improvement, innovation, cost reduction and value creation including hands-on leadership of key initiatives.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with company strategy and policies, managing third-party spend acquisition and reporting against predefined KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across SEFE Group, including facilitating and supporting the business.
  • Regular review meetings to discuss ongoing requirements, evaluate risk, future strategies, manage expenses and identify new opportunities.
  • Support the business users to ensure they have the datasets needed to perform their role managing urgent requests and expectations.
  • Develop, maintain and own strong supplier relationships in partnership with Corporate Procurement.
  • Keep up to date with supplier offerings particularly with primary suppliers such as Platts, Argus, LNRS, Bloomberg and Refinitiv - including new products and services, pricing models, growth strategies and assess the status of preferred suppliers within the company’s supply base.
  • Develop and maintain an internal Market Data contract cycle process to ensure timely reviews, contract renegotiation, renewals, cancellations and general contract governance.
  • Engage with appropriate internal teams to ensure new contracts are fit for purpose and cover all user requirements in terms of data coverage and use cases.
  • Ensure an accurate inventory of all Market Data services is maintained and that appropriate approvals are obtained for all new spend.
  • Ensure that invoices are accurate, allocated correctly and paid within contractual terms.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or similar qualification.
  • Extensive Market Data expertise with hands-on experience in tools such as Optimize Spend (INFOmatch) and SAP, supported by strong analytical and process-driven thinking.
  • Exceptional stakeholder and team management skills, with the ability to build virtual teams and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong project leadership and execution abilities, with a results-driven mindset and proven experience in driving cost optimisation and value delivery.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with fluency in English and the ability to influence and challenge across functions.
  • Strategic and adaptable approach with foresight to anticipate and act on change, implement plans and align with wider business goals.
  • Commitment to developing talent, mentoring team members and ensuring Procurement visibility across the broader business to support growth and transformation.
