Sitting at the intersection of quantitative modelling, energy fundamentals and technology, you’ll work closely with Analysts, Data Scientists, Developers and Product Owners to turn complex modelling needs into scalable platform capabilities. Your work will strengthen the analytical foundations that drive strategic and commercial decision‑making across global energy markets.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Elicit and document requirements related to supply–demand modelling, price forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Translate quantitative and analytical concepts into clear, actionable technical requirements.
  • Support the design and evolution of the Analytics & Modelling Platform, including data pipelines, modelling frameworks and analytical tooling.
  • Collaborate with Quants and Data Scientists on feature engineering, dataset design, model workflows and integration of forecasting models into production systems.
  • Define requirements for large and complex datasets (market data, fundamentals, weather, flows, storage, cross‑commodity linkages).
  • Support Python‑based analytics and ensure requirements are precise, testable and delivery‑ready.
  • Contribute to model documentation and lifecycle management processes.
  • Operate within an Agile framework, managing backlogs, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate demos, alignment sessions and UAT to validate incremental deliverables.
  • Support production releases, stabilisation and post‑release issue resolution.
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies and complexities across the analytics ecosystem.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Hard Skills
    • Strong knowledge of European/global Gas, LNG and Power markets, including fundamentals, flows, storage, supply–demand balances and hub pricing (e.g., TTF, JKM).
    • Experience in energy analytics, fundamental forecasting and scenario modelling.
    • Solid understanding of feature engineering, statistical modelling and ML workflows.
    • Strong Python skills for data analysis and modelling (pandas, NumPy, JupyterHub).
    • Experience working with complex, multi‑source datasets (market data, weather, outages, fundamentals).
    • Familiarity with market data providers (ZEMA, Bloomberg, Reuters/Refinitiv).
  • Soft Skills
    • Self‑starter who thrives in complex, analytical environments.
    • Strong collaborator across Quant, Data Science and Engineering teams.
    • Ability to turn complex modelling concepts into structured requirements.
    • Experience coordinating delivery of complex initiatives within Agile teams.
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication.

Experience

  • Technical Business Analysis experience in energy trading or analytics‑focused environments (Gas, LNG, Power).
  • Strong background in Agile delivery frameworks.
