As a Senior Power & Gas Trader you will identify, develop, and execute trading strategies across the European power and gas markets. This role is focused on generating value through fuel spreads, time spreads, locational and directional opportunities using both plain-vanilla and complex derivative structures. You will play a key role in shaping trading strategy, contributing to market analysis, and working collaboratively across commodities to drive consistent revenue within agreed risk limits.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Identify, develop, and execute trading strategies in the European power and gas markets.
- Develop and manage trading ideas across fuel spreads, time spreads, locational and directional opportunities.
- Contribute to and lead fundamental market analysis and modelling; develop proprietary models and work closely with analysts.
- Collaborate with traders and analysts to shape wider market and portfolio strategies.
- Monitor, interpret, and clearly explain developments in power networks, markets, regulation, and company activity.
- Support and grow bilateral trading and origination activities.
- Work closely with gas, oil, LNG, and emissions desks to develop and execute cross-commodity strategies.
- Ensure accurate daily reporting of trades, positions, and P&L and manage trading risk in line with approved limits and market liquidity.

- Track record of consistent revenue generation and proven ability to make sound decisions in time critical and volatile market conditions.
