The Areas Sales Manager focuses on new business and managing existing accounts through selling to End Users, Distributors & OEM’s. Developing key relationships with end-users is essential coupled with identifying and monitoring short cycle sales and long cycle projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Achieves budget targets and sales objectives
- Acquisition of new customers and projects
- Support and advise customers on technical questions
- Identifies and defines customer inquiries
- Offer generation, recording and follow up
- Support internal sales in technical queries
- Daily contact with internal partners, suppliers and customers
- Process customer complaints
- Budget customers and monitor their success
- Schedule customer visits, calls and communication
- Record visits and relevant phone calls into sales database
- Impulse market and customer demands
- Monitor competitor information and their activities
- Further tasks on demand
- Technical education in combination with sound commercial skills or vice versa plus corresponding work experience (> 5 years) in a similar business environment
- Proven track record in a field sales role in the UK
- Experience of new business development and account management
- Technical appreciation of the filtration industry (is valuable)
- PC literate including knowledge of MS Office tools, ERP and CRM systems
- Good analytical and synthesis skills, with a real aptitude for prospecting, sales, developing good customer relations, and a taste for teamwork
