Overview

We’re hiring a Support Worker (Peripatetic) to join the CFO Evolution programme. In this role, you will carry out effective assessments, deliver tailored interventions, and build strong relationships with stakeholders within custodial settings. Your primary focus will be to support participants in identifying and addressing their individual needs, with the aim of reducing their risk of reoffending.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload and provide coordinated oversight of risk, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding both adults and children. This includes promptly reporting any changes in individual risk to the Probation Service and adhering to established policies, procedures, and systems to ensure effective risk management.
  • From initial engagement and assessment, offer motivational support and guidance throughout participants’ sentences.
  • Deliver both one-to-one and group interventions to help individuals overcome barriers to reintegration.
  • Prepare participants for release, ensuring a smooth and well-supported transition back into the community.
  • Work closely with peer mentors and volunteers to support caseload management and connect participants with housing, substance misuse support, and physical and mental healthcare.
  • Due to the peripatetic nature of this role, regular travel across the designated cluster is required for caseload management, service delivery, and attending internal and external meetings.
  • Flexibility to cover other locations within the South West region may also be necessary.
