We're looking for an experienced and engaging ESOL Trainer to join our employability provision in Uxbridge, delivering high-quality English language training that helps participants overcome barriers and move closer to sustainable employment.

You'll deliver inclusive, learner-centred sessions for people from diverse backgrounds, adapting your approach to different language levels and support needs. The ideal candidate will have experience within the employability, adult learning or skills sector and, ideally, at least one year's experience delivering ESOL provision.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary range £28,000 - £33,000 p.a. negotiable depending on experience with these great benefits:

Location: Uxbridge, London

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30pm

Location and Accessibility: Our Uxbridge office is conveniently located in the town centre and benefits from excellent public transport links, making it easily accessible from across London and the surrounding areas. The office is just a short walk from Uxbridge Station, which is served by the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, as well as a range of local bus services.

Skills and Experience:

Essential
  • Minimum of one year's experience delivering ESOL training to groups of 10 or more learners across Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 programmes.
  • Excellent understanding of the barriers unemployed job seekers face when seeking and securing employment.
  • Knowledge of the employability sector, including the delivery of employability skills and personal development programmes.
  • Experience designing, developing and delivering training programmes in both face-to-face and remote learning environments.
  • Experience using motivational techniques to engage, support and develop learners.
  • Strong digital skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and experience using modern learning technologies, including Microsoft Teams.
Desirable
  • Proven ability to work within a high-performance, target-driven environment.
  • Award in Education and Training Level 3 (formerly PTLLS) or Certificate in Education and Training Level 4 (formerly CTLLS).
  • Knowledge of delivering services in line with contractual requirements and quality standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify training needs and report on learner engagement, progress and outcomes using IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging ESOL sessions that develop participants' English language, employability and workplace skills.
  • Adapt facilitation methods, learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of individuals and groups.
  • Achieve performance, quality and compliance targets through the delivery of effective learner centred training.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and employer partners to support participant progression, including work preparation activities and employer-focused events.
  • Prepare participants for employment opportunities through responsive training solutions, including sector-based programmes and vocational pathways.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to continuous improvement activities to ensure high standards of delivery and customer service.
  • Actively participate in, and promote Prevent and the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures always, including safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, quality, health and safety and IT.
  • To undertake any other duties, as required, appropriate to the post.
