Make a real difference in your community by supporting individuals on probation to rebuild their lives. As a Resettlement Support Volunteer, you’ll offer one‑to‑one guidance to men over 18 helping with literacy, housing, budgeting, employment, and social reintegration.

We’re looking for reliable, empathetic volunteers with strong communication skills, basic IT knowledge, and a non‑judgmental attitude. You’ll be a positive role model, respecting confidentiality and empowering participants to make informed choices. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, especially those with lived experience of the Criminal Justice System. You must be 18+ and substance free for six months if applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with housing needs such as budgeting or searching for properties
  • Help participants to explore employment options
  • Address issues such as social isolation
  • Assist a participant to access local support agencies
  • Work with participants who have been victims of crime themselves
  • Increase their sense of self‑worth
  • Support reintegration into the community
  • Receive appropriate background information about the participant and any associated risk information

Communities and Education Division is the Justice and Social Care division of Seetec, delivering tailored support to participants across a range of contracts. We aim to equip individuals with the skills needed to desist from offending, reintegrate into local communities, and address barriers to work.
