We are recruiting an Employment Specialist to join our team and help people secure sustainable paid employment. This role works with clients to identify employment opportunities, provide person‑centred advice and guidance, and build positive relationships with referral partners and local employers. The Employment Specialist manages a caseload of clients who have health support needs and learning disabilities, supporting them through assessments, action plans, and ongoing job maintenance. The role requires a strong service delivery focus, target achievement and quality compliance.
A competitive salary of £30,000 to £32,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) and a range of benefits:

Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed personal performance targets, KPIs and all quality and compliance measures.
- Progressively manage a caseload of referred customers with a learning disability using appropriate strategies to overcome employment barriers.
- Maintain learning disability awareness and self‑development to provide specialist support.
- Undertake in‑depth assessments using a suite of tools to understand customers’ circumstances and barriers to employment.
- Achieve the required Customer Service and Quality Standards on the programme.
- Co‑produce personalised, tailored action plans featuring SMART targets to enable positive progression.
- Use a local specialist service framework to obtain support addressing specific issues (e.g., substance misuse, anger management, debt advice, health and vocational training).
- Use social prescribing to improve customers’ circumstances (e.g., healthy eating classes, smoking cessation, social groups).
- Work with multiple agencies to develop holistic approaches; with consent undertake case conferences to optimise support packages.
- Undertake direct marketing to employers using digital and electronic formats (e.g., email, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter).
- Identify each employer’s recruitment needs and undertake tailored pre‑screens and group assessments.
- Co‑produce effective in‑work support plans, providing practical support for smooth transition into work; facilitate job carving opportunities where appropriate.
