We're looking for an Occupational Therapist (Employment & Wellbeing) to join our specialist team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative vocational rehabilitation model, helping people overcome health-related barriers and move towards improved wellbeing, independence and sustainable employment
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll support participants whose health, disability, neurodiversity or wellbeing barriers impact their ability to gain, retain or progress in employment.
Focusing on functional ability rather than diagnosis alone, you'll undertake assessments, develop practical interventions, recommend adjustments and create personalised plans that support long term employment outcomes.
You'll work closely with Employment Advisors, Wellbeing Specialists and employers to help participants build confidence, manage barriers and prepare for sustainable work.
This role provides an opportunity to combine occupational therapy practice with meaningful social impact, helping people overcome barriers to employment whilst developing specialist skills in vocational rehabilitation, workplace health and supported employment.

In return for your dedication, knowledge and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £37,796 to £40,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) with these great benefits:

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist vocational rehabilitation support to participants experiencing health, disability, neurodiversity or wellbeing barriers.
- Assess functional ability and the impact of physical and mental health conditions on employment and work readiness.
- Conduct vocational and functional assessments, developing tailored interventions and support plans.
- Develop work capability profiles, return-to-work plans and workplace adjustment recommendations.
- Create and deliver rehabilitation, adaptation and workplace support strategies that improve employment outcomes.
- Support participants to identify realistic employment goals and progress towards sustainable work.
- Develop workplace-specific in-work support plans to aid job retention and sustainment.
- Apply professional judgement and strong clinical reasoning to identify risks, barriers and opportunities.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues on vocational rehabilitation and workplace adjustments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary triage activities and specialist pathway allocation.
- Build effective relationships with employers, stakeholders and partner organisations.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and evidence requirements in line with quality and contractual standards.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Current UK professional registration.
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist, or other registered health professional with relevant vocational rehabilitation, occupational health, return-to-work or employment support experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills.
- Empathy, professionalism and a person-centred approach.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality assessments and customer experiences.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex health, disability or wellbeing needs.
- Experience of report writing, assessments and action planning.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
Desirable
- Knowledge of, or an interest in, vocational rehabilitation, workplace health or employment support.
- Knowledge of workplace adjustments and Access to Work.
- Experience within employment, wellbeing, occupational health or employability services.
- Understanding of disability employment and workplace inclusion.
