We’re seeking a dynamic and customer‑focused Customer Experience Adviser to be the welcoming face of our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for participants and stakeholders, providing a warm and efficient service both in person and over the phone. You will support individuals on their journey to sustainable employment, facilitate smooth programme transitions, and deliver exceptional customer service.
You will also complete all necessary start‑up administration such as identification checks and initial assessments, support Employment Advisers during periods of absence, organise and deliver job search activities, and build strong relationships with local employers to assist with recruitment events and vacancy campaigns. In addition, you will provide ongoing support to participants in work, manage office supplies, maintain a professional office environment, and handle petty cash payments accurately.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in customer service and administration, ideally within employability, recruitment, or HR. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities and attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary of £25,877 up to £27,000 p.a. with these great benefits:

Location: Office Based In Salisbury
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for participants, providing a professional and welcoming service by phone and face‑to‑face.
- Promote the Employability programme and ensure participants understand its purpose and benefits.
- Support the programme onboarding process, including welcome meetings, pre‑referrals and smooth handover into the service.
- Complete initial assessments to identify barriers to employment and arrange follow‑up support.
- Deliver job search support, including CVs, applications and promoting suitable opportunities (1‑to‑1 and group sessions) and build knowledge of local support and signposting services.
- Engage with employers and promote participants to support employment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate customer records and contribute to service quality and continuous improvement.
- Provide general office and administrative support to ensure a safe, professional and welcoming environment.
Skills and Experience
- Positive, service‑oriented attitude with proven experience in a customer service‑related role.
- IT literate with familiarity of MS Office products and modern digital technologies, i.e. Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and sometimes high‑pressure environment.
- Proven experience in administrative roles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations.
- Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
- An understanding of the barriers unemployed job seekers face in obtaining a new job.
- Experience of working in a high‑performance culture.
