Are you passionate about helping people? Join our team as an Accommodation Support Officer and support our participants with their housing needs. You’ll work with a caseload of adult males within a custodial or community environment. In partnership with probation practitioners, you’ll complete initial assessments to understand their specific needs, and then create tailored accommodation plans to meet this through an agreed number of interventions. This will include ensuring that the participants are aware of any decisions that affect them, plus informing them of their rights within the process.
We need your excellent interpersonal skills to create and maintain effective professional relationships with both our participants and external stakeholders. We’re looking for an excellent role model who can encourage positive changes in attitudes and behaviour. Our successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of homelessness legislation or experience working within the criminal justice sector. However, we appreciate that not everyone can tick every box, so long as you are engaging and comfortable working with a diverse range of people from a variety of backgrounds, we can provide on-site training and support to enable you to develop your knowledge and skills.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary of £25,877 up to £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience), with these great benefits:

Key Responsibilities

- Experience or knowledge of Accommodation (incl. legislation) - desirable
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Experience or knowledge of the work of the Criminal Justice System
- Good organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines
