We are seeking a motivated and passionate Community Youth Coach to join us in this newly created role. This position plays a vital part in shaping positive futures for young people across Worcestershire by supporting them into employment and empowering them to build sustainable, long term careers.
The Community Youth Coach will work with young people aged 16‑24, delivering tailored interventions and practical guidance designed to equip participants with the skills, confidence, and experience needed to enter and thrive in the workplace. You will support participants to identify and overcome barriers to employment through personalised, one‑to‑one support. This includes focused job search advice, guidance on retraining or transitioning into new sectors, and practical assistance to help rebuild confidence and self‑esteem.
The role also involves helping young people develop meaningful connections within their local communities, supporting their wider progression in areas such as health, skills development, and social engagement. In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we offer a competitive salary range £26,500 to £29,545 p.a. with the following benefits:

Contract: Fixed Term 2 Years
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities
- Build good relationships with local community organisations to facilitate the development of support and referral opportunities for participants.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Job Centre Plus.
- Partner with core delivery partners and specialist partners to reach the wider goals of the project aims and share opportunities.
- Meet, and strive to exceed, KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Networking experience and the ability to build strong, good working relationships internally, across partnerships, and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, health conditions and disabilities.
- Having the combination of experience and empathy towards people who are disadvantaged and an understanding of barriers to employment and participants' progression.
- Understanding of how to affect positive behaviour change.
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programs to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, i.e. Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.
- Knowledge of working in an environment that is driven by targets.
- A background in delivering services that meet contractual and quality standards.
Desirable
- Strong understanding of the employability and skills sector.
- Proven experience delivering effective Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to individuals.
- Full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel across Worcestershire as required.
- Demonstrated experience engaging and working successfully with economically inactive individuals.
