Role Description
This is a part‑time, on‑site Hairstylist role based in Seer Green. The Hairstylist will consult with clients to understand their preferences and provide customized haircuts, styling, and hair care recommendations. Daily tasks include performing hair styling services such as cutting, blow‑drying, colouring or treatments (where qualified), and finishing styles to a high standard. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, following hygiene and safety guidelines, and ensuring products and tools are properly cared for. The Hairstylist will also manage appointments, provide professional product advice, and deliver friendly, respectful customer service to encourage client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- Strong Hair Styling skills, including cutting, blow‑drying, and finishing techniques appropriate for a range of hair types.
- Foundational Cosmetology knowledge and Hair Care expertise, with an understanding of treatments, products, and safe application methods.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills with a focus on building positive, long‑term client relationships.
- Clear, professional Communication skills to conduct consultations, explain options, and provide after‑care advice.
- Relevant cosmetology or hairdressing certification or training, and any required local licensing (or willingness to obtain, if applicable).
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively within a team‑oriented salon environment.
- Previous experience in a salon or similar setting is preferred but not strictly required; a portfolio or examples of work are a plus.
