The Customer Solutions Specialist (CSS) provides technical support, subject matter expertise, and product advice to our regional sales teams and customers. The role may have a domain specialism and sits within the regional Customer Solutions team.
The ideal candidate has proven technical and solution design skills in a complex, technologyâmarket environment. They are customerâfacing, able to quickly understand a client's software environment, identify and propose solutions that improve business processes, and present complex technical solutions with gravitas. They can join the dots between technology and business benefit; recommend optimal solution designs while managing customer expectations to maintain technical credibility. The successful candidate communicates with people from many cultures, delivers inâperson and web demonstrations, and trains on Seequent's full ecosystem of products and services.
The role requires proficiency across multiple solutions in the Seequent suite, supporting crossâsegment demand creation with quick response, problemâsolving, and solution finding. Business acumen and the ability to support further growth in customer accounts is a core aspect. Significant travel is expected to ensure strong market orientation.

- Product Knowledge
- Become proficient as a generalist CSS across the Seequent product portfolio including Leapfrog, Central, OpenGround, GeoStudio, PLAXIS and other products or solutions as required.
- Learn from customers how, what, where, and why they use our products or competitors, and feed that information back to the appropriate teams.
- Develop and share your own technical expertise to provide advisory support to customers, colleagues, and peers, enabling them to meet their objectives.

- Sales/Revenue Generation
- Work as part of the regional team to identify and progress opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Gather market intelligence.
- Conduct market development activitiesâsetting up demonstrations, webinars, and supplying product information to prospects.
- Maintain accurate client data in the CRM to support future business pipeline.
- Marketing and Business Goals
- Monitor customer satisfaction and work to improve outcomes and perceptions.
- Support all product upgrades, new releases, and new products.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies Required
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Finite Element Modelling (FEM), and Numerical Modelling.
- Experience in ground investigation, environmental geology, geotechnical engineering, civil or environmental engineering consultancy or related industry.
- Tertiary qualification in geotechnical engineering, geology, hydrogeology, earth sciences, or a closelyârelated discipline.
- Operational experience in civil or environmental engineering infrastructure construction projects is an advantage.
- Experience using, developing, or testing commercial software in GIS, geospatial, 3D modelling, geoscience, numerical modelling, or data management is an advantage.
- Technical orientation and natural curiosity for how software works; passion for being an expert user and technical guru.
- Relationship building abilities.
- Ability to support sales with technical information, insights, demonstrations, solution architecture, best practice, and innovative ideas during preâsales.
- Ability to confidently provide preâsales technical and solution support and lead technical aspects of prospect and customer engagements.
- Proactive communication of progress to sales teams and management.
- Demonstrate and train customers on the software solution set for Câlevel and technical audiences.
- Confident oral and written communication skills in English (other European languages such as Italian or German are advantageous).
