The Associate Creative Director is a pivotal and influential role within the agency. You will concept, define and deliver brand experiences for major global brands. This role requires high attention to detail, a passion for design and cultural content, and the ability to motivate, inspire and coach those around you.

You will lead projects from brief to delivery with oversight from the Creative Director, while owning project momentum and development day to day.

  • Knowledge of varied event formats including festivals, dinners, workshops and pop ups

Core responsibilities

  • Define
  • Brief – Interrogate, challenge and refine client briefs internally and with clients, acting as guardian of the brief and brand throughout
  • Strategy – Collaborate within the strategic process through cultural research and insight to validate positioning
  • Resourcing – Cast appropriate teams to pitch and deliver projects
  • Concept – Define the overarching idea driving the experience, ensuring alignment with brand, audience and culture
  • Culture – Champion cultural relevance from concept to delivery, applying an always on lens across social channels
  • Experience – Translate concepts into guest journeys, defining and refining touchpoints that ladder up to the central idea
  • Inspire – Bring teams and clients on the journey, selling and evidencing ideas with clarity
  • Design
    • Art direction – Define visual direction within brand guidelines while pushing creative territories
    • Design exploration – Lead cultural, visual and creative exploration to inspire ideation
    • Design leadership – Write clear design briefs and ensure concepts align to strategy and experience
    • Trends – Stay current on industry and client relevant trends, creators and talent
    • Innovation – Keep up to date with technology developments and bring supplier inspiration into the agency
  • Deliver
    • Partner collaboration – Identify and brief third party suppliers across build, graphics and technology while retaining creative control
    • Storytelling – Craft engaging and concise narratives and presentations that communicate the value of ideas
    • Present – Confidently present in pitches and project meetings, taking clients through each stage of development
    • Commercial awareness – Develop ideas within budget and advise on cost efficiencies without compromising creative integrity

    The ideal applicant

    • Background in Art Direction or Communication Design preferred
    • Proven experience leading brand experience design projects from brief to delivery
    • Strong team leadership including resource planning, delegation and constructive critique
    • Highly competent conceptual thinker able to unpack strategy into cohesive experiential ideas
    • Natural storyteller with strong deck writing and narrative skills
    • Confident presenter with the ability to sell, negotiate and inspire
    • Culturally aware, trend conscious and social media savvy
    • Experience mentoring and developing team members
    • Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining creative excellence and momentum
    • Comfortable acting as a visible voice for the agency and contributing to industry conversations

    Technical skills

    • Proficient across Adobe Creative Suite
    • Able to interpret CAD plans, Vectorworks files and floorplans
    • Strong Microsoft Office, Teams and PowerPoint skills
    • Able to mentor others in the effective use of design software

    Working pattern

    This is an office based role. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are studio days. The role includes meetings, briefings and close collaboration with team members and clients. Standard office hours apply, though deadlines and installs may require additional time.
