The role
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Paid Social Manager to lead our paid team and oversee all paid social activity end-to-end. This role will include crafting strategic paid social approaches and media planning to campaign execution, optimisation, reporting, and presenting results, insights and recommendations to clients as well as tracking spends and approving invoices from the platforms.
Clear and engaging communication skills are essential, to help us convey the benefits of paid social to clients to complement their organic activity. You would work alongside the accounts team to secure buy-in, ultimately embedding paid social into our client’s long term strategy.
You will also work across new business pitches, and will need the confidence to present well-structured, data-led strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
The Paid Social Manager will work closely with all accounts teams, acting as an extension of their client support to ensure seamless media planning and execution. This role would be the most senior person within the paid media team however we are keen to shape the structure and direction of the team closely with the successful candidate for this role. The ambition is to build out the team this year and the successful candidate would be at the helm of this.
Key Responsibilities
- Paid Social Advertising Expertise
- Platform Knowledge: Mastery of Meta (Facebook & Instagram Ads) and TikTok Ads is a must, with experience in YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest Ads as a plus. Knowledge of running paid social through influencer accounts as well as brand accounts is also a plus.
- Ad Formats & Objectives: Strong understanding of different ad types (carousel, video, static, etc.) and how to align them with client business goals (awareness, engagement, conversion, retention).
- Audience Targeting: Expertise in building and managing interest-based, behavioural, custom, lookalike, and retargeting audiences.
- Budget Management
- Efficient Budget Allocation: Optimising ad spend to maximise ROI while maintaining profitability.
- Scaling Campaigns: Knowing when and how to scale spend effectively based on data, insights and performance trends.
- Data Driven & Analytical Mindset
- Performance Analysis: Tracking and interpreting key paid media metrics (ER, CPE, CPM, CTR, CPC, ROAS, CPA, conversion rates) to refine campaign performance.
- A/B Testing: Running experiments with ad creatives, copy, targeting, and bidding strategies to drive incremental improvements.
- Attribution & Measurement: Strong grasp of attribution models, pixel tracking, and multi-touchpoint attribution to measure impact accurately.
- KPI Development & Benchmarking: Ability to assert the appropriate KPIs in line with campaign objectives, set meaningful benchmarks, and evaluate success effectively.
- Creative & Copywriting
- Creative Best Practice for Paid Media: Strong knowledge of what makes effective ad creatives and the ability to brief influencers on content production for paid media.
- Persuasive Copywriting: Ability to refine and adapt organic social copy into engaging ad copy that is objective-aligned and tailored for different audiences and platforms.
- Client & Strategy Support
- Pitch Development & Presentation: Contributing to pitches, crafting strategies that cater to clients of all sizes and objectives, and presenting them confidently to stakeholders.
- Cross-Channel Understanding: Knowledge of how organic influencer activity, brand-led social content, and paid media intersect, using insights to enhance strategic recommendations.
- Paid Media Advocacy & Upselling: Encouraging paid media adoption among organically focused clients by demonstrating its impact, proving ROI, and embedding it into business-as-usual strategies.
- Industry Trends & Thought Leadership
- Keeping Ahead of Platform Updates: Staying informed on algorithm changes, emerging ad formats, and platform developments to ensure campaigns remain effective.
- Sharing Insights with the Agency: Contributing to internal knowledge-sharing through platform updates, interesting campaign learnings, and trend analysis.
What We’re Looking For
- Robust experience in paid social within an agency setting.
- Strong understanding of social media marketing, including how organic, influencer, and paid strategies interconnect.
- A genuine interest in influencer marketing and desire to stay up to date on the industry and trends.
- Comfortable managing and optimising campaigns at various budgets ranges.
- Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of work and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate data-driven insights persuasively to internal teams and clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive to sell paid media solutions and embed them into long-term client strategies.
The Interview Process
If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to join a 30 minute virtual call for us to get to know you better and for us to tell you more about the role and agency, and answer any initial questions. If we think you’d be a great fit, we will then invite you to do a task relevant to the role you’ve applied for, which we wouldn’t expect to take more than one hour. A final decision will be made following this.

- Hybrid working, working from our Shoreditch HQ on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from home on Mondays and Fridays.
- Core Hours of 10:00 - 17:00 with the flexibility to start anytime between 08:00 - 10:00 and finish between 17:00 - 19:00.
- Summer Fridays- a 3pm finish on Fridays in July and August.
