We are looking for a full‑time Wholetime Firefighter who will respond to emergencies across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes and support community safety activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to major and minor incidents, including road, rail or air crashes, floods, chemical spills and fires.
- Assist in rescuing people trapped in confined spaces.
- Participate in community safety advice events, education activities and campaigns.
- Maintain physical fitness to pull ladders, run hoses and wear breathing apparatus.
- Work effectively within a team and follow instructions in dynamic situations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: £30,384 – £38,881 per annum, commensurate with experience and training completion.
- Flexible shift patterns covering days, nights and weekends.
- Potential to increase earnings through extra shifts.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years old by 10 January 2027.
- Full UK driving licence, held by completion of application form.
- Live within 20 miles of the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes border.
- Level 2 functional skills or equivalent GCSEs in Maths and English (A*–C / 9–4).
- Confident swimmer.
- Valid DBS check required.
