Overview

Midway Care Group provides supported living and residential care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The team is focused on compassionate, person-centered care to promote independence and a better quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Support people in developing and maintaining daily living skills.
  • Identify and meet the needs of those we care for.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with people, team members and the local community.
  • Positively encourage choices in keeping with the rights of people with a Learning Disability.
  • Participate and assist with defined care plans encouraging individuals to take an active role in all aspects of daily living.

Recruitment process and onboarding

  • All applicants will be taken through a Telephone Screening Interview with our Talent Resourcing Advisors and a Competency Based Interview with the relevant Locality Manager.
  • All Candidates will be subject to our onboarding checks which include, but not limited to, right to work, Enhanced DBS and reference checks.
  • All New Team Members will have a First Day Induction Training held at our Office in Acocks Green (travel is fully expensed on the day).
  • Some of our Service Users require specific ethnicities, male or female Support Workers only, where this is indicated it is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Hours and requirements

Expected hours: 35 per week.

  • Required criteria: a desire to work with people and make a difference in their daily lives.
  • Experience in caring or working with a vulnerable adult.

  • Support Worker £12.21 per hour – Marston Green – 35hrs – FEMALE STAFF ONLY
