Your role: As a Residential Child Care Worker, you'll be a vital part of a supportive, dedicated team, creating a safe, loving, and stable home for young people. You'll build strong, trusting relationships, become someone they can count on, and support their emotional, physical, and practical needs every day. You'll work closely with professionals and agencies to ensure each child feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate support to young people aged 8-17 in a residential setting, including those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), high-risk challenging behaviour, and learning/behavioural challenges.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships and work with professionals and agencies to ensure each child feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.
  • Contribute to the organisation's aim of outstanding care and transformative support for children and young people.

Requirements:

  • 6-12 months experience within Children's Residential Setting
  • Level 3/4 qualification (or willing to work towards)
  • NVQ L3 / L4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce (preferred or willing to work towards)
  • Driver (preferred)

Location, Pay & Shifts:

  • Location: Garstang, Preston
  • Pay: £12.37 (non-qualified) - £13.50/hr (qualified) + £60 sleep-in
  • Shifts: 2 on / 4 off
